Who Would Win #1 Deadpool vs Deathstroke

My fist real success with on the TGWTG.com blogs was this video. It got on 'Best of the Blogs' and was mentioned on their podcast by Angry Joe.

Who Would Win, the premise is simple, I choose two characters and place them into a fight, more often or not I try to make them have similar powers as I that really gets me to think about the match up.

Dispite the success though, I found it funny that I fall in a minority for the winner. Check it out.

  1. hmmm, well done, but i must say, you forgot about deadpool's teleportation, which makes him all the more dealy. Also, ultimate deadpool did take out the whole xmen (including wolverine), so thats not too shaby.

One last thing i must add, is that with cross overs, they always go with whoever has the most popularity, so you cant always takje them as canon.

  2. You know, I'm a raging Deadpool fan and I still agree with you. I mean, I don't think he would die (or in dying, remain dead), but I do think he would recieve a whooping, bearly escape, and then make some quip about how he let Slade win.

    Great video.

  3. I think you have this all wrong. Deadpool is aware of his being in a comic book, and his genre savviness would give him a unique advantage. Deathstroke would be all "You can't beat me, I've been five steps ahead of you this whole time" to which deadpool would respond by looking ahead at the next five panels and then dodging all of deathstroke's attacks before stabbing him. You need to look at this through deadpool logic.

Deadpool was in fact a parody of deathstroke designed to make fun of him. His name is a good indication of this (where do you do a deathstroke? in the deadpool of course!) He has since become a more dynamic and interesting character and is no longer anything like deathstroke except in his fighting style and costuming.

  4. hmm, this anonymous fellow actually has a really good point, if Deadpool could look ahead in the comic, the only time he'd ever lose a fight would be if he were completely and utterly screwed. The question then becomes, should that count as a power?hmmmm...I dunno, does he have documented cases of using it as one?

  5. You forget, none of the heroes that Deathstroke ever faced were at all unpredictable. I know, I know, there are some things with the X-Men that seem to come out of nowhere, but really, that's usually done by some outside force, or it's something in their personal lives. In either case, all the characters Deathstroke ever fought, basically fight the same way all the time, whereas Deadpool is completely unpredictable, other than he will start shooting first. There is also the teleport thing that Deadpool can do and Deathstroke can't. And of course he's in bad shape at the end of every fight, he has Cancer. He usually seems like he's in bad shape because he is in constant pain regardless of who he's fighting.

  6. Deathstroke never fought an idiot/unpredictable person before. Plus, since Deadpool can break the 4th wall, not only (as said above) can he look ahead through the pages, but teleport through panels and stuff. Don't forget, Deadpool is also currently in a relationship with Death granting him immortality (also thanks to Thanos.) Even though Deathstroke can wound Deadpool badly enough to "win" the fight, Deadpool doesn't flinch (as shown in several events, including getting bombed in the abdomen and beheading.) He also single-handedly defeated the entire Skrull armada, and baked 40,000+ pancakes in one morning. Deadpool just seems to be badly injured in a fight, whoever he's fighting, because he's an idiot. But sometimes, his idiocy saves him.

  7. In my opinion Deathstroke will be the winner owing to the fact that he is faster and skillful than Deadpool, however it doesn't mean that the combat is gonna be easy for him, because in front of , he has n excellent opponent.

  8. My money goes to deadpool

  9. Deadpool is vengeful, however Deathstroke is smarter than him, and this could be an important point in this combat. Not always the stronger is the winner, the intelligence is important too.

  10. OMG!!! u admit that deadpool cant be killed and that deathstroke is just human no matter how smart deathstroke is he just cant kill deadpool that's why in my opinion Deadpool wins hands down.

  11. i agree with Levitra batman has beaten superman(poisen ivy controlled) and he is not but a mere human i believe it would be the same for Deathstroke vs Deadpool but as said above about Deadpool looking a few pages ahead in comic i dnt think that really matters in this argument considering where talking about a fight and not a comic about a fight either way nice vid

  12. Deadpool would win simple because of a few reasons:
    1) His healing factor is VASTLY superior to that of Logan's, as he can regrow entire organs and limbs. Hell he has even been decapitated on numerous occasions. all he has to do in order to reattach it is simply has to be placed in the proper place.

    2) He can't die thanks to a curse placed on him by Thanos so he can never again hook-up with Death, The Cosmic Entity that personifies decay and destruction.

    3) HE NEVER SHUTS UP! Domino once said that Deadpool's most lethal weapon is his mouth. He will blabber nonsense during the whole fight, distracting and maiming the opponent until the latter "surrenders or commits suicide." He can even give annoy SPIDER-MAN just by talking.
I repeat HE CAN ANNOY SPIDER-MAN JUST BY TALKING!!!!!!!

    4) His fighting prowess is EPIC. Reason being is that Gambit has such respect for Deadpool's fighting abilities that he once paid him off rather than risk battling him, admitting that fighting Deadpool is tantamount to suicide.

    5) Deadpool is an extraordinary hand-to-hand combatant and is a master in multiple unarmed combat techniques. He has been shown fighting such amazingly skilled fighters as Wolverine and Taskmaster (who has photo-reflexive memory which allows him to copy anyone's fighting skills by observation, thus making him their equal in battle) and even defeating them in hand to hand combat. This shows that Deadpool himself is among the most skilled fighters in the Marvel universe.

  13. I think all of you are missing the biggest point concerning deadpool. Everyone keeps mentioning that deathstroke is SO intelligent, and Im not saying he's not mountains smarter than deadpool, but thats deadpools strength also. He throws things at people they dont think of because hes so unpredictable. I dont care if you're 10 moves ahead if I do something you didnt plan for you're done. Couple that with all of deadpools "super" powers and I dont think deathstroke has much of a chance.

  14. Well lets put this into perspective shall we... you didnt involve the teleporting as was mentioned already... which makes Deathstrokes "5 moves ahead" obsolete.... all Wade Wilson would have to do is teleport behind Slade Wilson...game over...

  15. It all depends on which incarnation of each character. Teen titan'd mastermind Slade deathstroke has an advantage over marvel ultimate alliance 2 deadpool, whereas marvel vs capcom 3 cesspool would beat the not out of mortal kombat vs dc universe deathstroke... with his own health bar. the point is until a game, comic, or movie where these badasses duke it out comes along, we'll never know.

  16. But plain and simple, there is one flaw, these two are assassins, they don't just beat the tar out of their target, they destroy them with a passion and despite both having regenerative poweRs but cesspool can't be killed so if it came to it the last words deathstroke would hear would be "DECAPITATIOOOOOOON" and then have to do whatever dc heroes do to not go to hell.

  17. How do you beat a guy that, more or less, can't be killed? Especially someone of equal fighting skills and equal hardware. Also, you failed to mention the whole teleporting thing? You missed on this one. Big Red wins this battle every time.

  18. deadpool would beat him he would eventually shoot deathstroke in the gut then trash talk then cut of or shoot his head.he would beat any one even hulk he would just wait for him to turn back to Bruce banner then cut of his head.

  19. Some of these comments just pain me severely... 1st of all the teleportation ability Deadpool has comes from a device made by a mechanic such as his friend and ally, Weasel. Unfortunately in Deadpool's time teleportation devices as small as his hve constant hiccups and break, in at least 80% of Deadpools comics he can't just teleport back and forth across a battle field. Next, this breaking the forth wall thing, we're talking about a fight that is complete speculation in the minds of the people, unfortunately, that descision goes to which character you prefer. And finally, in terms of intelligence, according to multiple comic books and wikis, Deathstroke is smart enough to estimate an opponents strengths and weaknesses simply by trading blows, he can plan ahead by four steps in just about every direction. Finally, as a whole, Deathstroke is basically a Batman that slowly lost his two children and his wife, having to kill his youngest son. What we're looking at is a merciless Batman with more conventional weapons to kill. Deadpool is an expert fighter, I myself love his comics, but Deathstroke just has too many advantages, and although you can't kill Deadpool, you can knock him unconcious, cut his limbs off enough tthat you may as well call it a win.
